What types of protective sleeves do you offer?
We offer three types of protective sleeves: Expandable Braided Sleeve for bundling and protecting cables and wire harnesses, Self Closing Wrap for easy installation over existing cables without disconnecting them, and High Anti-Abrasion & FR Sleeve (PET) for harsh environments that need maximum abrasion resistance and flame retardancy.
How do I choose the right protective sleeve for my application?
Choose Expandable Braided Sleeve for general cable protection, especially where the sleeve has to pass over bulky or large connectors. Choose Self Closing Wrap when cables are already installed, or need to be accessed for maintenance. Choose High Anti-Abrasion & FR Sleeve (PET) for high-wear environments or fire-sensitive applications such as railways, robotics and automatic equipment. Which industries use your protective sleeves?
Our protective sleeves are used in automotive and truck manufacturing, panel building, electrical appliances and installations, telecommunications, machine building, automation and robotics, railways, construction, marine and outdoor equipment, and forklifts.
What materials are your protective sleeves made from?
Our sleeves are made from Polyester (PET), flame-retardant Polyester (PET-FR) and Polyamide 6.6. All materials have a melting point of 240 ± 10°C and resist oils, chemicals and abrasion. The PET High Anti-Abrasion sleeve also resists UV exposure and maintains its strength in humid conditions.
What temperature range can your protective sleeves handle?
All of our protective sleeves operate from -40°C to +150°C, making them suitable for engine compartments, industrial machinery and outdoor equipment.
Are your protective sleeves flame retardant?
Yes. Polyamide 6.6 sleeves are rated UL94 V2 and standard Polyester (PET) sleeves meet VW-1, FMVSS 302 or UL94 V2 depending on the product. For fire-sensitive applications, our flame-retardant Polyester (FR) versions meet UL94 V0 standards.
What sizes and colors are available?
Expandable Braided Sleeve and High Anti-Abrasion & FR Sleeve are available in nominal sizes from 1/8" (3mm) to 3" (76mm), covering bundle diameters from 1mm to 120mm. Self Closing Wrap covers bundle diameters from 3mm to 50mm. Sleeves come in Black and Grey, supplied on reels, and we can discuss custom sizes and colors for your requirements.
